Wine Spectator’s September 2021 issue spotlights Jim Lancaster, a medical device maker corporate VP for Zimmer Biomet. Jim had amassed a valuable and extensive wine and port collection during his tenure in their Ardèche, France office. He was enamored of the wine-making culture and set about traveling to the Rhône Valley and Tuscany. But when it came time to return home to the US, he had to figure out how to move the cellar 4,000 miles across the ocean and into the new wine cellar he had hired Revel Custom Wine Cellars to design and build for his Indiana home.
A fascinating story of the ins and outs of this journey is detailed here.
